I am Anh Nguyen, a bookkeeper based out of Toronto, Ontario. Being a detail-oriented and precise person who loves working with numbers, I enjoy problem solving. A distinctive part of my personality is a healthy obsession with how and where things should be organized. I prefer open and direct constructive criticism and work best with well-communicated expectations.
My skills have developed over the years by following several training programs. I have obtained bachelor’s degrees in business management and entrepreneurship and a college degree in accounting. Having lived and worked in four countries across three different continents, I have accumulated seven years of business experience including two years of Canadian accounting experience.
My accounting experience spans across a variety of industries including but not limited to construction, interior design, tech start-ups, marketing agencies, e-commerce retailers, etc.
I have been teleworking for over a year and am comfortable with providing bookkeeping services remotely to clients across the country. Slack, G-suit, Teams, Zoom, Salesforce, Trello, AirTable, LastPass are applications that I am proficient in. I am also familiar with a variety of digital payment gateways such as Stripe, PayPal, Wise, Klarna, Shopify.
Currently, I am certified by Intuit as a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Advanced and I am working toward the designation of Certified Professional Bookkeeper by CPBCAN. Beside QuickBooks, I also have experience with the Sage50, Xero, Zoho and Wave Apps accounting platforms.
Outside of work I enjoy reading and travelling. Before Covid, I had an objective of exploring at least one new place every year which was put on hold during the pandemic.
